At the age of 35, Hip Hop legend, <strong>Darryl "DMC" McDaniels</strong>, one third of the legendary group, <strong>Run-DMC</strong>, discovered that he was adopted. He also won an Emmy award for his documentary about his search and reunion, "My Adoption Journey," that first aired on VH-1. Legendary DJ Scratch has revealed to AllHipHop.com that he will change his well known moniker to DJ Jam Master Scratch, with the support of founding Run-DMC member, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels.

Says, “I was in college when Run-D.M.C. started to hit, but I had to take a leave of absence. I’ve been absent ever since.”

Congrats are in order for Daniel “Diggy” Simmons.  He’s following in his dad’s footsteps and got himself an official record deal with Atlantic Records–just 1 day after his 15th birthday.  His big sister Angela and lil bro Russy were on hand this afternoon to watch him sign his official papers.
