Cardi B Might Be Hitting the WWE Ring, WWE Executive Shares
Could Cardi B be lacing up the boots and stepping into the ring? According to WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H, it’s more than just wishful thinking, it might actually happen.
The Bronx superstar is already locked in to host this summer’s WWE SummerSlam, and if Paul “Triple H” Levesque’s latest comments are any indication, the door is wide open for Cardi to go from mic to mat.
“I don’t know if anybody can control Cardi B, let me just start with that,” Triple H told Billboard. “If she wants to, I think it’s going to be hard to talk her out of it. And then what can we expect? Who the hell knows?”
Honestly, that sounds about right.
He continued, “The one thing I know about Cardi is, whatever she’s going to do, is what she’s going to do. You’re just kind of hanging on to the tiger’s tail a little bit there. She’s a lot of fun to work with and she’s excited to do it.”
She’s a Fan of Wrestling
Cardi B has long been a vocal fan of wrestling, often tweeting about matches and personalities over the years. But the possibility of her actually getting in the ring? That’s a whole different level of energy.
If the rumors weren’t already loud enough, former WWE Women’s Champion Liv Morgan and her tag partner Raquel Rodriguez have already called her out. They even proposed a tag match: Liv and Raquel versus Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion.
“They’ve also been so active with us on Twitter and just responded to different things,” said Morgan. “That offer still stands for them if they want a shot at our newly-crowned championships. I’d love to beat them in my hometown.”
If Cardi makes that move, she’ll be joining a short list of hip-hop stars who’ve stepped into the WWE universe, including Travis Scott and Sexyy Red.
Now here’s my take: I miss seeing Cardi outside. I miss her in her full element; performing, posting, living out loud. Watching her have fun, unapologetically, was always a vibe. So to see her potentially step into something she clearly enjoys? That’s refreshing. Whether she’s throwing punches or punchlines, Cardi brings a realness that lights up the culture.
If she does get in the ring, just know — I’ll be front row, popcorn in hand.
