Megan Thee Stallion has publicly addressed Tory Lanez’ recent assertions denying his involvement in the 2020 shooting incident that left Megan with two injured feet. Lanez claims, which include alleged text messages between him and media personality Jason Lee and rumors suggesting that Megan’s former friend Kelsey Harris was the one who fired the gun, have been met with strong rebuttals from Megan. She maintains that Lanez was the sole individual responsible for shooting her.

Lanez was convicted in December 2022 on three felony charges: assault with a semiautomatic firearm, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. In August 2023, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Recently, Lanez was stabbed multiple times by fellow inmate Santino Casio at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi. The attack resulted in two collapsed lungs, and Lanez was hospitalized with serious injuries.

In response to these developments, Drake and Republican Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna have publicly urged California Governor Gavin Newsom to pardon Lanez, citing alleged prosecutorial misconduct and his conviction being based on flawed evidence.

Representative Luna also claims that there’s “compelling evidence proving Tory Lanez’ innocence, and it will be released within the next 36 hours.” She goes on to say, “those who rushed to call for his incarceration, and worse yet pushed false evidence, should prepare to be held accountable.”
