Shannon Sharpe Sued for $50 Million Over Abuse Allegation
NFL Hall of Famer and media personality Shannon Sharpe is being sued for $50 million by a woman accusing him of rape, physical abuse and emotional distress. Filed under the alias Jane Doe, Sharpe and his legal team have identified the accuser as Gabriella Zuniga, who claims she was in a two-year relationship with Sharpe beginning in 2023.
Sharpe’s legal team is strongly denying the claims, calling the lawsuit a “shakedown.” They’ve even released a string of graphic and explicit text messages allegedly sent by Zuniga implying that their encounters were not only consensual but often initiated by Zuniga.
In one text, she reportedly expressed wanting to put her tongue in Sharpe’s anus and for Sharpe to give her a “big Black baby.”
According to Sharpe’s lawyer, Zuniga also secretly recorded a sexual encounter with Sharpe, edited the footage, and is now trying to frame it as non-consensual in an attempt to blackmail Sharpe.
Zuniga is being represented by Tony Buzbee, the same high-profile attorney who recently filed lawsuits against Diddy and Jay Z.
