Joseph Williams I disagree that his sexuality was his issue. He didn’t have enough votes to get in period. Instead of sitting on Fox News condemning the organization he wanted to be a part of ,he should have been getting to know the members of the fraternity so he could secure the number of votes needed for membership. Had he done his research he would have known that there are homosexuals in every frat, every organization, and they may have voted for him. Now he will never be a member of the fraternity and he caused them to be suspended.
Stuart Goodall Joseph Williams, but didn’t he have text messages as proof, showing that members were saying something to the effect of “we ain’t pledging gays” or something? As an institution, I don’t think Morgan would open itself up to liability by recognizing an organization that is openly hostile to a group that it’s own university charter embraces. There has to be some proof out there that the university has that compelled it to take that action. It’s not about gay or straight in their eyes, it’s about mitigating liability.

dashawnsimone@drejohnson1 the punitive action will ultimately help all frats recover from this embarrassment. An example had to be made. Inaction would’ve looked like MSU was condoning the discrimination. As an HBC, that’s unacceptable. They had to be punished. #Sagitarian!
ur_kryptonite7@drejohnson1 as a memeber if a BGLO that pledged at Morgan , and worked a former director of Greek life at another school, I think that the suspionson May not have been the move. The school needs to take more responsiblity for educating the studens on the ends and outs of the non discrimination policy. As a LGBT black Greek this boy need to suck it up, I’m sure its more to the story of why he not Greek. I’m sure the organization looked at his entire character doing recruitment
