Singer/songwriter Markus Vonnell has always been serious about the sound of soul. A music fan since he was old enough to reach the knobs on the radio, the 21-year-old year old recalls sitting in his room blaring the latest R&B jams while pretending he was the one wailing on the microphone.
Growing-up in Baltimore and Virginia, for Marcus music became the one constant in an often troubled and turbulent life. “I’ve dealt with a lot of wild things over the years and, through it all, music was always there.”
While Marcus was always that little dude playing the latest hits and singing along with Joe and Jodeci, many years later he too stands on the verge of becoming a soul singing sensation. With the release of his debut single “She’s Bad,” he swaggers on the scene meaning business.
