We asked 92Q listeners to send in their nominations for Baltimore’s Top 30 Under 30 for 2013 and we’ve chosen the best and the brightest young movers and shakers in the area to make the list. Come by daily during the whole month of February for a new member to the Top 30 Under 30 Club. (Listed in no particular order)

13. Byron Smith

Born and Raised in West Baltimore City, I attended Frederick Douglass High School. While at Douglass High I participated in junior varsity and varsity football and Basketball, varsity baseball, the concert choir, and was a member of the Recording Arts and Media Production program. I then attended UMES and choose to major in Computer Science with a concentration in Business. As the years progress I became Members of IEEE, NSBE, Sigma Alpha Pi and was Mr. MOD, President & Vice President of Men of Distinction, founding member and First Mr. S.T.A.R.S Status & DJ. As my junior year came around I was giving an opportunity to have an Internship with IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY as a Systems Support Programmer. After successfully completing my internship with IBM, I had another opportunity to work with UMES IT Dept as a Student Technician for the entire year.
