What’s up HBCU alum, students and fans !
So you may ask, “Ki Ki  What do you mean  by saying the HBCU football season is on fire?”  Well, let me tell you the games are exciting! Southern scored at the end of the Atlanta Classic in ATL to beat FAMU  21-14. Lincoln (PA) had to score 55 points and still only beat Johnson C Smith by 2 points (score was 55 to 53 ) and Livingstone upset Virginia Union 23 to 21.
Now if you didn’t know the Blue Bears of  Livingstone have not had it easy on the football field going 0-11 in 2010 and  1-9 in 2011!  The win over Union is there second in a row this season, go ahead Livingstone  making the Blue in your Bear a good thing !

Speaking of Bears! Morgan State took on North Carolina A&T on Thursday night and came out on top 21 to 18!  Thanks to  Bears quarterback Robert Council connecting on a 32 yard pass with  receiver Andrew King for the game winning touchdown.  Morgan State standout senior running back Mike Mayhew is burning up the yardage as he gained 102 yards on the day becoming the Bears  All-time leading rusher. Oh yeah  and speaking of being on fire my girl Fantasia  sang (and I do mean Sang)  the national anthem to kick off the game !
Meanwhile Saturday in Bowie,  Bowie State hosted Winston-Salem State and came up short 35-3 . The  Bulldogs unfortunately found out why the Red and Black of Winston-Salem State is considered to be ram tough as Coach Connell Maynors’ Rams held  Bowie State to only 246 yards of total offense (The Bulldogs lowest output so far this season). Howard caught fire and hid the water torching the Tigers of Savannah State 56 to 9  and with that win the Bison are now 2-0 in the The MEAC ( I Hear Bob Marley Singing Buffalo Soldiers!!!! Fighting for America! )  Go on  Howard holding  it down like  ya girl Ki Ki Brown! Morgan State and Bowie State you know I got love for you too!
Hey! There are still three unbeaten schools in all of Back College Football each with records of 5-0.Defending Black College National Champion Winston-Salem State  is one and Alabama A&M  is another after their 38 to 17 win over Grambling State  and Tennessee State is the other after mauling Arkansas Pine-Bluff  40-13 !
