LeToya Luckett is known as being an original member of American girl group Destiny’s Child along side Beyonce Knowles Carter and Kelly Rowland. Within the group LeToya won two Grammy’s and released several commercial recordings.

She signed with Capitol Records and began her successful solo career. Releasing her self-titled album LeToya in 2006, she topped the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart in July 2006 and was certified platinum by the RIAA in December 2006. Her hit single “Torn” won her “One of the Best New Artist of 2006” by AOL and “Top Songwriter of 2006” by ASCAP.

LeToya released her second solo album Lady Love in August of 2009. The album debuted at number 1 on the U.S. Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and #12 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.

Luckett was the star of the movie Preacher’s Kid, which was released in January 2010. She appeared in the movie Killers and the HBO drama series Treme.

Letoya is currently working in the studio on her next album and has a web series titled “Life, Love, & Music”.
