As of last night, Maryland has a new place to hear some of their favorite artists perform, The Fillmore. Located in the heart of downtown Silver Spring, it is definitely a good look. What was an even greater look was having The Queen of Hip Hop Soul, Mary J Blige, perform for their Grand Opening.
The line was wrapped around the building in the rain, but everyone was determined to get in to see Mary perform. She performed her entire ‘My Life’ album, and ending with her new single, ’25/8′ off the new album, My Life II: The Journey Continues. Throughout this performance, Mary J Blige continued to show her gratitude and remind her “real MJB fans” that it is because of us, it’s the reason she is where she is.
