When has a “joke” gone too far?
Comedienne/TV Host Joan Rivers is known for saying something slick out her mouth, but this time did she go too far?
During her appearance on the Howard Stern show, Joan said
“We used to have Jackie O, now we have Blackie O!”
This was supposed to be a compliment on how well the First Lady dresses.
After the comment, she and Stern complained about having to play it safe when they talk about African-Americans. Joan tried to fix it up by saying, she wouldn’t mind it if people called her “Jewie O.”
Does Joan get a pass because that is her usual type of humor or did she go too far? Your thoughts?
