The Quicksilva Morning Show
6:00am - 10:00am

The Quicksilva Morning Show is Baltimore’s go-to morning destination, airing weekdays from 6 to 10 a.m. with big laughs, local perspective and unfiltered real talk. The show officially launched on 92Q in late August 2023, bringing DJ Quicksilva back home to Charm City with a lineup designed to feel like your funniest group chat, but with a studio mic.
DJ Quicksilva, also known as “The Party Kingpin”, is an award-winning DJ and on-air personality with humble Baltimore beginnings and a national footprint. A recipient of the Global Spin Awards, he was recognized as one of The Source’s “Power 30” DJs and has performed on major tours with artists like Jay Z, 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige, and more. But he’s more than just a DJ, gracing the TV screen on several major networks including BET and OWN, while also running his Quick and Eazy DJ Academy and staying active in community work. His whole brand embodies his favorite mantra: Hard Work. Dedication. Consistency.
Porkchop (Johnny “Porkchop” Doswell) is one of Baltimore’s most legendary radio voices, known for his historic achievements in the club music genre, including his hit record with KW Griff “Bring in the Katz.” A Coppin State University graduate and member of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc., Porkchop’s personality, hometown pride and big-brother energy on air has made him a longtime community staple whose talents span dancing, rapping and DJing. He’s been recognized several times by the Baltimore Crown Awards for Best DJ of the Year and Best Radio Personality of the Year and was honored with the K Swift Award in 2024.
Chey Parker is an award-winning media personality, producer and influencer with more than a decade of experience in journalism and broadcasting. A Hampton, VA native with family roots in Baltimore, she’s a Howard University magna cum laude graduate who has worked with heavy-hitting media outlets like C-SPAN, BBC and PBS. Kicking off her radio career in DC on 93.9 WKYS in 2018, she now co-hosts and produces the morning show, while also making regular TV appearances on FOX5 DC. As a voiceover talent, she served as the voice host for MTV’s The Love Experiment and the Global Creator Awards presented by Walt Disney World Resort and YouTube. With a strong online influencer platform, she’s also worked with brands like African Pride, Dark and Lovely, Ambi and AcneFree.
The morning show has featured interviews and sit-downs with guests like Coco Jones, Mayor Brandon Scott, Maryland Governor Wes Moore, LL Cool J, Amanda Seales, Regina Hall, Ray J, Tip “T.I.” Harris, Tisha Campbell, Wale, Bill Bellamy, G Herbo and more.
With a pulse on Baltimore and a platform that reaches beyond the city limits, The Quicksilva Morning Show blends entertainment, insight and authenticity into a morning experience that feels both familiar and fresh. Whether it’s culture, conversation, or pure comedy, the show continues to set the tone for how Baltimore starts its day.
