Today, Wizkid, real name Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, is celebrating his 35th birthday, and it’s only right fans across the globe are showing him some love. From dropping bangers like “Holla at Your Boy” back in 2011 to becoming one of the biggest names pushing Afrobeats to the global stage, Wizkid has been putting in serious work and changing the game for African music worldwide.
Over the past decade, Wizkid has shattered records. He’s the first Nigerian artist to land a Guinness World Record for “One Dance” with Drake, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart and scored multiple BET and American Music Awards. His 2024 album Morayo also broke Spotify streaming records for an African release.
