Battle Of Baltimore: Morgan State & Coppin State To Meet For Round One Of Crosstown Rivalry

The first ‘Battle of Baltimore’ has been set as the Morgan State Bears and Coppin State Eagles will face off this Saturday for their annual crosstown showdown.

Both teams coming off of thrilling wins, The Morgan State Bears men’s basketball team is looking to defend their home court against the Coppin State Eagles.

The Lady Beats lead the series, 47-45, and have won 12 of the last 15 regular season contests, but Coppin State has won two straight, following last season’s series sweep in which the Eagles won both games by 20 points each. On the men’s side, CSU leads the series 63-41, however, MSU won both meetings last season against the Eagles.

Tip-off is at 2 p.m. for the ladies and 4 p.m. for men. Fans unable to attend in person can catch all the action live on ESPN+.

The two will meet again in March for the regular season followed the next week by the MEAC tournament in Norfolk, Va.
