Ravens Fan Who Assaulted Commanders Fan Will Remain In Jail

Ravens fan John Callis, who was seen on the viral video assaulting a Washington Commanders fans will remain behind bars! The assualt that took place in October, made its way through the internet and despite defense lawyers asking   to release him to outpatient treatment for substance abuse, the judge denied that request.

City Circuit Judge Yolanda A. Turner denied a request Tuesday from attorneys for John Callis to release the 24-year-old. It was at least the second time his attorneys had argued to let him out of jail.

Previously, defense lawyers asked a District Court judge to release him to outpatient treatment for substance abuse, saying their client had been on a prolonged cocaine and alcohol bender at the time of the confrontation following the Ravens’ win against the Commanders on Oct. 13.
