A Motor Vehicle Administration audit reveals hundreds of drivers fraudulently obtained Maryland driver’s licenses.
According to Fox 45, the MVA is making sweeping changes after the fraud was laid out in a recent audit performed by Maryland’s Office of Legislative Audits.
The audit showed motorists who used the same social security number to obtain a license. In other cases, the same home address was used.
“It does raise concern when you see a location like this that potentially had licenses issued and wonder what’s going on,” said Brian Tanen, Maryland’s Chief Compliance Officer.
