Ok, so you overdid it last night. You went out with the crew, tossed back way too many shots and now you’re paying for it tremendously with a killer hangover. You can barely drag yourself out of the bed but you have to be at work in less than an hour. What do you do? Though no one meal or drink can cure a hangover, certain foods are better for recharging than others.

Foods you should absolutely avoid during a hangover are:

  • Greasy food
  • Another alcoholic beverage
  • Coffee
  • OJ

Now that you know what to steer away from, here’s what you need to cure a hangover:

  • Water
  • Sports drinks and coconut water
  • Ginger
  • Peppermint Tea
  • Fruit juice
  • Pickle juice
  • Bananas, kiki, spinach
  • Eggs
  • Chicken noodle soup
  • Miso soup
  • Crackers or toast with honey
  • Oats
  • Tomatoes
