There are times when we encounter people who genuinely seem to be good people. Yet beneath the surface of their friendly demeanor lie’s a conniving, backstabbing, and deceiving person whose ultimate goal is portray the role of a friend in order to achieve some twisted personal gain at your expense.  At first these people seem like they are good hearted and you may find that you become fast friends, yet when something substantial goes down especially at work, they are the first to point the finger at you, spread gossip, and make assumptions about you and your activities. Well here are a few tips on how to deal with those low down dirty b*#@%!$.

  1. Look At Yourself: Introspection is key in determining who really has the problem and what the real issue is. Examine yourself first before you make the assumptions that the other person is the problem.

  1. Avoid Assumptions: Never assume!!! Get the facts first before you make any unjustified assumptions. In most cases you’ll find out that when you address the issue you were misinformed and the rumors you heard were not true.
  1. Resist retaliation: I know it can be difficult to not respond aggressively to the situation especially if the information you received about you is less than appealing. Yet it is still essential to make sure you have all the details before you fly off the handle.
