‘Salt & Pepa’ Opens Up About ‘Legends of Hip Hop Tour’ & The Music Industry
Salt & Pepa have been rocking stages since 1985, and this past Saturday night in Baltimore, it was no different. The 2 female Hip Hop pioneers have kicked off their ‘Legends of Hip Hop’ tour with special guest Mc Lyte, Doug E Fresh, Slick Rick, Whodini, and more. Before they hit the stage on Saturday at the 1st Mariner Arena, I got a chance to talk to Cheryl & Sandy bka Salt & Pepa!
During our phone convo the ladies were down in Miami eating some good ol cuban food, but I was able to grab a few minutes of their time. The ladies shared their opinion of the music industry now vs when they first started, whats going on with Spinderella, why they haven’t been inducted into the Hall of Fame yet, what happened to Pep’s place (former club/bar in Baltimore), and how was Salt able to return to the stage to perform after a change of lifestyle.
