Cardi B is officially expanding her family, the Grammy-winning rapper revealed Wednesday that she’s expecting a baby with boyfriend and NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
The announcement came during an interview on CBS Mornings with Gayle King, putting weeks of speculation to rest.
This will be Cardi’s fourth child, but her first with Diggs, whom she began dating in late 2024. The couple kept their relationship quiet at first, making their public debut this May while sitting courtside at a New York Knicks game.
Rumors about a pregnancy had been circulating for months, particularly after Cardi was spotted leaving court during her ongoing civil case and appeared to be cradling her stomach. At the time, she brushed off the speculation — even going so far as to playfully toss a pen at someone who pressed her about it.
Cardi already shares three children, daughters Kulture and Blossom, and son Wave, with her estranged husband, rapper Offset. Although she welcomed Blossom just last September and her divorce from Offset is still pending, the star made it clear she’s ready to move forward in her personal life.
Offset appeared to take a swipe at Cardi’s new relationship earlier this summer, claiming none of his exes have “leveled up” since their breakups. But Cardi seems unbothered, now preparing to welcome her first child with Diggs, who plays for the New England Patriots.
For Cardi, the moment marks both a new chapter in motherhood and in love.
