Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been awarded the 2024 NFL Most Valuable Player (MVP) title, narrowly surpassing Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson in a closely contested race. Allen received 27 first-place votes, totaling 383 points, while Jackson garnered 23 first-place votes, accumulating 362 points.
Throughout the season, Allen demonstrated exceptional leadership, guiding the Bills to a 13-4 record despite the departure of key offensive players. He achieved a career-high Quarterback Rating (QBR) of 77.3 and was responsible for 41 total touchdowns, with only six interceptions.
In contrast, Jackson made history by becoming the first NFL player to surpass 4,000 passing yards (4,172) and 800 rushing yards (915) in a single season, alongside 41 touchdown passes and just four interceptions. Despite these record-breaking statistics, the MVP award was bestowed upon Allen, a decision that has sparked debate among fans and analysts.
