Get your tea cups ready because the buzz in entertainment just got hotter! Here’s the latest update from Dominique Da Diva’s “Diva’s Daily Dirt” segment, where we break down the week’s juiciest drama.

Chris Brown Sued Over ‘BREEZY BOWL’

Chris Brown is no stranger to the spotlight, but this time, it’s for all the wrong reasons. The singer and Live Nation are facing a lawsuit from a Miami-based swimwear brand that claims the name “BREEZY BOWL” infringes on their trademark. The brand, which has been using “Breezy” since 2018, says they launched their own “Breezy Bowl” in 2023 to promote women’s swimwear.

According to their legal team, Chris’s use of the name has caused massive confusion. The swimwear company wants to remind celebrities everywhere that fame doesn’t give them the right to override small business trademarks. Will this hold up in court? Only time will tell.

Diddy Fighting to Clear His Name

Sean “Diddy” Combs is battling on multiple legal fronts. His team is pushing to overturn his prostitution conviction or secure a new trial. They argue that Diddy didn’t profit from the activity and was merely a bystander in the events for which he was convicted, pointing out that the women made all arrangements themselves.

His legal team also wants the court to exclude the now-dismissed RICO and sex trafficking charges tied to hotel footage from 2016, arguing it’s irrelevant to the case.

And it doesn’t stop there. Diddy, alongside his son Christian Combs, is also asking a federal judge to dismiss another lawsuit, claiming the alleged incident falls outside California’s jurisdiction since it occurred in international waters. Pro tip? Keep a few great lawyers on speed dial if you’re Diddy.

Cardi B Prepares for Court

Your girl Cardi B is set to appear in court on August 11th, battling an assault and battery claim stemming from a 2018 incident. A woman alleges that Cardi, who was pregnant at the time, physically assaulted her over privacy invasion at a doctor’s visit.

Cardi’s team denies any physical altercation occurred and has successfully barred the jury from hearing about Cardi’s past as a stripper or other legal issues. This trial promises to be one to watch.

Kamala Harris Announces New Book

On a lighter note, Madam Vice President Kamala Harris is ready to share her story with the world. Her upcoming book, “107 Days,” is set to hit the shelves on September 23rd and will recount her whirlwind Vice Presidential campaign—the shortest in modern history. Looks like we’ll be adding this to our fall reading list!

That’s all for this edition of “Diva’s Daily Dirt.” Stay locked in for more gossip, drama, and celebrity updates next time!
