Six Baltimore Teens Arrested in Pennsylvania After Multi-State Burglary Spree

Six teenagers from Baltimore were arrested in central Pennsylvania last week, accused of taking part in a string of burglaries and vehicle thefts that stretched across state lines, according to Susquehanna Township Police.
The teens, ages 13 to 17, are suspected of being part of an “organized crime ring,” police said following their July 16 arrest. Investigators believe they may also be connected to several burglaries and stolen vehicle cases in Baltimore and surrounding areas in Maryland.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Susquehanna Township Police had not confirmed whether the teens remain in custody or what specific charges they are facing.
The Baltimore Police Department is aware of the arrests and is investigating whether the group is linked to crimes in the city.
The arrests came after an automated license plate reader flagged a stolen vehicle in the early morning hours of July 16. Officers tracked the car to the Blue Mountain Commons shopping plaza in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where it was parked in front of Jawns on Fire, a sneaker store.
Security footage posted by the store on Instagram shows a group of people climbing through a window, grabbing merchandise, and leaving through the same window—prompting the owner to mockingly call them “dummies” for not unlocking the door.
The store owner did not respond to a request for comment.
After the break-in, the teens fled on foot, but Susquehanna Township and Lower Paxton police officers chased them down and arrested them.
Police said they recovered more than $50,000 worth of stolen and damaged merchandise from the car.
