GameStop's Limited PS5 Bundles Sells Out In Minutes, Gamers Are Pressed

Landing a PS5 is becoming one of the hardest missions gamers have ever encountered.

It’s no secret that the COVID-19 pandemic has made it painstakingly difficult to cop a PS5 or an Xbox Series X. The minute any retailer drops a link on its website, a virtual mad dash ensues, instantly crashing it. Yesterday (Nov.23), Kohl’s felt the wrath of gamers after they went on a canceling spree of PS5 orders made through its website.

GameStop is the latest company catching the ire of frustrated gamers who want to make sure they have a PS5 before the Christmas holiday. The video gaming merchandise retailer announced that it would be releasing a limited number of bundles online only, of course.

The bundles each featured two DualSense controllers, two games (Spider-Man: Miles Morales being the common thread), an accessory (PS5 Pulse 3D Wireless headset or HD camera), and a 12-month PlayStation Plus subscription. As expected, the bundles are pricey, with the cheapest one costing $759.99, then going up to $804.99 and $854.99. Despite the hefty price tag, they all sold out…QUICKLY.

It was once again the same complaints. As soon as the link went active, it didn’t take long for the consoles to sellout and the complaints to begin pouring in.

This is becoming a weekly occurrence on social media and honestly, we see no end in sight until Sony can meet the demand, and that is not going to be the case any time soon. Plus, the bots are out here making life difficult. Look no further than the number of consoles on sites like StockX and eBay just sitting as scalpers try to flip PS5 units for ridiculous resale prices.

We know trying to get one of Sony’s next-gen consoles is proving to be more difficult than Bloodborne but keep hope alive yall. Also, follow @PS5StockAlerts. The account will keep you updated when random drops do occur.
