At this point in the rap game, anytime you see Weezy or get a verse from him, it’s a rare opportunity. Years ago, Wayne was on every song, he was everywhere but the last couple of years, he’s played the back but Hip Hop knows that he’s still one of the goats.

In one of the latest episodes of “I Am Athlete”, Weezy spoke to Brandon Marshall, Ochocinco, Pac-Man Jones and Omar Kelly about his run in music and what he’s brought to the game. One of them being 2 of the BIGEST name in Hip Hop, Nicki Minaj and Drake. When speaking of Drake, he said he wanted Drake to be the “ultimate artist”.

“What I loved about him, he was sounding just as dope as we were”. Wayne said he told him to embrace his versatility as a singer and rapper, “You gotta be the ultimate artist.”

It seems that Drake definitely understood the assignment.

Another highlight of Wayne’s appearance on the podcast, was when he challenged Weezy to a battle.

Ocho, stop it! But wait, why Wayne hype him like that?
