It’s official: Kanye West will replace Travis Scott as the headliner for Coachella 2022.

Variety confirmed that Billie Eilish will headline Saturday’s show and Kanye West will handle Sunday evening. This will be Coachella’s first “successful” show since 2019 due to COVID-19. It’s scheduled for April 15-17 and April 22-24. The show has already sold out. With the recent rise of the Omicron variant, we can only hope that this show will go on. If so, it’ll take place at the Empire Polo Ground in Indio, California. Travis Scott has also officially been removed from the show following the Astroworld Festival tragedy where 10 concertgoers were killed in November 2021.

Besides Scott’s removal from Coachella and several other shows, he’s also facing quite a few lawsuits with nearly 2,800 alleged victims seeking billions of dollars in damages, reports NewsOne. Scott addressed the festival in an interview with Charlamagne the God, “I stopped it a couple of times to make sure everybody was ok, I really just go off the fans’ energy as a collective; call and response. I just didn’t hear that!”

“You got lights, you got sound, you got pyro, you got your in-ears, you got your mic, you got the music, you got [the] band. It’s all type of stuff going on … Everything kinda sounds the same,” Scott continued.
