You’ll need some coin if you plan on catching Drake & Kanye’s Free Larry Hoover benefit concert.

The show is planned for December 9th at the Los Angeles Memorial Colosseum and has had fans talking since the former rivals decided to come together for the cause. All that hype may be the reason the tickets are so high. An Instagram post from Off the Record Podcast host DJ Akademiks revealed a hefty $7,500 price tag for tickets in the lower bowl section of the Colosseum.

Now, I will add that I usually expect the lower section of shows to be a bit outrageous but that’s out-outrageous. I can’t help but think about the fact that they are raising money, however, and how their goal may be to get some of the “big spenders” to open their wallets. Other Twitter users revealed ranges of ticket prices that (seem to) begin around $250 and get up over $1,000.

A big enough moment?

The moment that brings Drake and Kanye together on stage for the first time since reconciling is big, for some fans. That price tag won’t mean a thing to them. The superstars fell out a few years ago in a feud that dates back to 2010 when Kanye (my apologies, I mean ‘Ye’– can’t believe I forgot the name change, guess I have to change the title) removed Drake from his hit song, “All of the Lights”. Drake’s drawn out (and annoying) beef with Pusha T also added fuel to the Ye/Drake feud. Put it like this, they have history. But that all came to pass after, record executive and promoter, J Prince brought the two sides together to settle their differences. It was a cringy moment in Hip Hop history as Ye’ and Prince stood side by side while Ye’ read off a truce to Drake.

Shortly thereafter, the trio posted a picture as a symbol of peace between them. This is when we knew the concert was officially going to happen.

I’m all for peace. Happy for these two and happy for Hip Hop. Also, thank you J Prince for stepping in. Would you pay that much to see this show?
