The Beats Not Bullets mentorship program is looking for high school students for its 2021 installment of their program.
Beats Not Bullets teaches the fundamentals of songwriting, beat-making, music production, recording engineering and the ins and outs of the music business.
They enable students to improve their reading and communication skills through concept building as well as the utilization of computers equipped with production and recording software.
Participants will create, share and record music created during the program through a range of enrichment activities including educational “talks” with industry professionals and hands-on experimentation.
Beats Not Bullets aims to enhance students’ understanding of the professional skill set needed to work in creative industries as well as expose them to a network of resources.
