Rapper Kodak Black will be leaving federal prison early due to clemency from Donald Trump, but South Carolina prosecutors are still ready to aggressively pursue a sexual assault case against him.
According to TMZ, Kodak was indicted in South Carolina on a felony charge of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and prosecutors still plan to press the case until a plea deal or a trial.
Trump commuted Kodak’s 46-month sentence for making a false statement on a federal document, but does not impact his state case.
If convicted, Kodak Black faces up to 30 years in South Carolina state prison.
