After saying that he had a major announcement on the way Gov. Larry Hogan didn’t disappoint during a press conference held Monday. Hogan announced  a new  $1 billion RELIEF Act that will includes tax cuts and help Maryland for Marylander families / small businesses who desperately need help during this COVID-19 pandemic. This new  income tax credit includes  $750 for families who applied for the Earned Income tax credit and $450 for individuals in the state.

This relief will go directly to more than $400,000 in need and the payments will go to families who make less than $57,000. No application is needed and the checks will go out immediately following the passing of the act and Hogan’s signature.
