Mitch McConnell Speaks At Louisville-Area Luncheon On Latest Legislative News

Well it’s another day in politics that has tremendously affected the American people! After the house agreed to to up the stimulus payment of $600 to $2,000 Senate the Majority Leader Mitch McConnell blocked the effort on Tuesday. Many people were waiting for this bill to increase direct payments in the year end as many people really need this coronavirus relief package to $2,000. Unfortunately for now that doesn’t look to be happening. Democrats  McConnell said he planned to set up a Wednesday vote on the veto override. He also spoke on three priorities Trump  said he wanted Congress to address in addition to the stimulus which is Section 230 legal liability protections for internet platforms Trumps concerns about the d election fraud. Mitch said “this week, the Senate will begin a process to bring these three priorities into focus.” So not sure if the stimulus will be a first priority or this tireless conversation of the election fraud.
