City Council approves measure to change the name of Columbus Day to Indigenous People’s Day in Baltimore.
While the city moved quickly to rename the holiday, according to Fox 45, some residents said the city has been slow to respond to more pressing issues like dirty alleys and the rising homicide rate.
This bill still needs Mayor Jack Young’s signature.
