Its a celebration!!!! In honor of Kobe Bryant’s Hall of Fame  career,  Nike will launch “Mamba Week” on Sunday Aug. 23, which would have been Kobe’s 42nd  birthday. During this week of celebration and honor Nike will re release products like Kobe’s sneakers! This will be the the first time Nike has released Kobe’s  signature sneakers or jerseys since his death in January.

Nike released a statement and said,

“Nike will continue to release Kobe Protro shoes, allowing the millions of fans he inspired around the world to keep Bryant’s legacy going.” “Nike will also continue to work with the NBA to release limited quantities of Bryant’s iconic Los Angeles Lakers jersey.”

ESPN reports,

During “Mamba Week,” Nike is expected to release several colorways of the Kobe 5 Protro, the sneaker worn by Bryant throughout the 2009-10 NBA season, when he won his fifth championship. One gold-accented version will feature graphics from the pairs he wore during the 2010 Finals, and a trio of collaboration colorways with L.A.-based boutique Undefeated will celebrate his upcoming Hall of Fame induction.

The brand will also be releasing Lakers jerseys featuring both his No. 8 and No. 24, with the front of the jersey celebrating the first decade of his career and his second number featured on the back.
