A murder charge has been dropped against Valeria Smith, who was accused of the stabbing death of her stepmother Jacquelyn Smith, along with her father Keith Smith.
Smith’s attorney says, she is now charged as an accessory after the fact.
Valeria and her father Keith Smith told police Jacquelyn Smith was killed by a panhandler in December 2018.
They were both arrested near the Mexico border and extradited back to Baltimore to face charges.
