Georgia woman allegedly fakes her child’s illness to collect a disability checks.
Police say Teresa Roth, 34, made her 5-year-old son take 28 unnecessary medications and undergo unnecessary medical treatments for 2 years.
The case started back in 2016 when the boy was taken to a hospital in Atlanta. Doctors were treating the then 3-year-old boy for several illnesses, that were all made up.
He was in a wheelchair and on a feeding tube as his parents drew disability checks on his behalf, according to police.
Roth’s was arrested on Thursday at her home Gainesville, Georgia.
The boy is now in DFCS custody.
