The Baltimore City Housing Authority was given a $1.3 million federal grant to developa plan to revitalize the Poppleton-Hollins area on the westside.

The plan also calls for an overhaul of the Poe Homes.

There also has been investments by individual businesses in the area with a major housing and commercial project in Hollins Market.

A big federal grant was given in July to target the Perkins, Somerset, Oldtown neighborhoods in East Baltimore.
