Another Confederate statue was removed this time at the Maryland State House in Annapolis. Crews removed the monument of Roger B. Taney Friday morning. Taney was the U.S. Supreme Court justice who wrote the 1857 Dred Scott decision that upheld slavery and denied citizenship to African-Americans.
Dre’s #breakfastbite.. What affect if any will the removal of these monuments have on your life?
No effect cause I’m not a bigot but whomever felt harmed by it I hope it brings them peace/stop police from killing black citizens*Friyay👊

Patty Pbj Johnson Absolutely none…put them in a museum and tell the history that young kids are missing in these school instead of prepping for unnecessary tests….
kdh30_What’s the point really? They’ll still be in our history books. And it doesn’t erase the people who praise those statues
thescreenwriter07Nothing! The statues aren’t the ones with the guns and badges killing us. Or having kkk rally’s so it doesn’t make a difference at all. Yeah I know black people are killing each other too, but change has to start somewhere as far as both us and them.
instamoe_1576Robert E Lee killed more Americans than Hitler. The US Constitution is explicit, the punishment for treason is death, not a statue in the park. And Taney help to kill Americans via the civil war
mrs_jamielMaryland is on its job
u_cant_b_4realNothing. Never even knew they were there 😩
3lindvisionIt doesn’t actually do anything to heal society, but I can say I don’t have to worry about my son asking one day “Daddy who is that a statue of?
