Dion Waiters – NBA vet, Philadelphia native and the guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder – did not travel with his team on Wednesday. He was mourning the death of his brother who was killed in Philly on Tuesday.
Fox Philly reported Waiters’ brother was one of six people killed on Tuesday in three separate acts of violence and 0 arrests have been made.
Waiters posted on his IG about the death of his brother,
“The call I just got about my lil brother wasn’t expecting this s—…..crushed my heart I never question why…. But this hurt…. I promise I got Yu mark my word….. Love Yu kid… r.i.p.”
