129 people have been killed, and 352 injured, in the Paris terror attacks that occurred on Friday, November 13th.
Among the victims involved in the tragedy was a 23-year-old California State University student named Nohemi Gonzalez. Gonzalez was abroad for a semester, attending school at the Strate College of Design.
To remember the lives lost on Friday the 13th, several nations lit global landmarks in blue, white, and red. From Australia all the way to Brazil, countries around the world showed support to the nation of France in this way.
Meanwhile, Belgium’s justice minister said multiple arrests were made in Brussels in connection to the Parisian tragedy. Near the Bataclan, a rental car with Belgian license plates was spotted and immediately became a clue for authorities. Officials are in search of the person who rented the vehicle.
President Obama also spoke out on the attacks, saying “The killing of innocent people, based on a twisted ideology, is an attack not just on France, not just on Turkey, but it’s an attack on the civilized world.”
