This is so disturbing because Pittsburgh is my hometown but Baltimore is my current city and although my heart is in the Steel City, my feet’s planted in the Charm City. So when I watched the game on Thanksgiving night between the Ravens and the Steelers, I was torn between a team that I’ve grown to love and a team that I’m learning to love!
I personally know Coach Mike Tomlin, having conversations with him on the radio back in Pittsburgh, I found him to be a humble and appreciative family man who loves his job very much. So I guess, maybe he loved it a bit TOO much when he was spotted outside the BIG WHITE line in last week’s game.
I honestly thought it was a mistake but the NFL didn’t and fined him $100,000 and a possible push back from the draft.
This is what the NFL had to say:
The NFL has fined Steelers coach Mike Tomlin $100,000 for interfering in Ravens receiverJacoby Jones‘ kickoff return last Thursday, and according to a league release, “in addition, because the conduct affected a play on the field, a modification or forfeiture of draft choices will be considered after the final order of the 2014 draft has been determined.”
What do you think? Was this deserved? Take the poll:
