Song sampling has always been popular within hip-hop. From SWV’s sample of Michael Jackson’s “Human Nature” to James Brown “The Boss” used to created Nas’ “Get Down”. Song sampling has a way of recreating classic hits to introduce and fit them into the new generation.

The songstress was known for penning and belting out many greats such as “Bad Girl” and “Hot Stuff”. Many of her greatest hits have been sampled by some of today’s most popular stars.
