Sooo…today I get this email about a blackmail to avoid a possible layoff! Read and tell me what YOU would do in this situation! It’s a tough one!
I work at a warehouse and one late night found my boss in his office with a “call girl” or some woman who wasn’t his wife. Just yesterday, I found out my department will be getting laid off in two weeks. He didn’t see me that night and I was wondering if I should bring it to his attention that I saw him? What would you do? I can’t afford to get laid off right now. Is this wrong for me to sort of threaten him with this? Just know that I’ve been with the company for only a year.
Maybe your listeners can tell me what they would do in this situation.

Cheryl Cappuchino Hayden well if it’s the entire department getting laid off because of cut backs, what’s the purpose of pulling his card? I can understand if you’re laying me off and i was the only one because you think i did something foul. Plus you have heads up about the layoff. it’s nothing that’s sudden, so that means its nothing against you. yep, it would be wrong to bring that up to him. nowwww if the lay off was aimed directly at you, then let your boss know what’s up!

LaVard Ralph Chances are the layoffs will not come your way because you are new and they are molding you to become what they want you to be. Unless they are dropping alot of money in your pocket. Most of the time layoffs happen to those who have been there for a while but not yet close to retirement. If you did say something you may end up putting yourself in a bad position. Your department may be making cut but that doesnt mean everyone will get cut.
