On October 15th if the judge revokes T.I.’s federal gun case probation, the rapper is facing some serious jail time.

A probation officer is asking for eight to 14 months, though T.I.’s lawyers claim the guidelines call for no more than five to 11 months, say court documents filed Friday. T.I.’s lawyer said the probation officer erred in asking for eight to 14 months because those are the guidelines for for violent career criminals. The lawyers say that shouldn’t apply to T.I. because his prior conviction for assaulting a Florida police detective does not qualify as a “violent felony.” (NY Daily News)
