Trevor Tahiem Smith, Jr., better known as Busta Rhymes, was born on this day in 1972. The rapper, songwriter and actor got his name from former NFL wide receiver George “Buster” Rhymes. The Brooklyn bred artist has made hits with everyone from Diddy to Mariah Carey to Janet Jackson.

Busta released his eight album “Back On My B.S.” in May of last year and is said to be in the studio working on another album.
