R&B singer Trey Songz and Jeezy will reportedly star in an upcoming reality show that will show viewers an inside look of their time on Jay-Z’s Blueprint III tour.
According to music mogul Kevn Liles, Songz will also drop a new solo album this fall.
“September 14th, new album. He’s not gonna stop,” Liles said in an interview. “He’s gonna keep his foot on people’s necks, and he’s going to make sure they understand that we have to redefine R&B. We have to go work hard every single day to be the best…We’ve got the Blueprint 3 [Tour experience] from the eyes of Jeezy and Trey Songz coming out. The first show airs on BET on June 27, the night of the BET Awards. The show comes first, and then right after that, the BET Awards.” (MTV)
Trey and Jeezy recently received co-signs from Jay-Z’s protege, Memphis Bleek.
“You know this dude Jay got an endless list of hits and that’s what makes me say I need some new joints,” Bleek said about Hov’s touring gigs. “It’s been cool, you know I knew Trey for a little while before when I was doing the club dates with him, now, to see him come and do his thing like he’s doing now, it’s just like come on, I’m always happy to see somebody gradually grow to a bigger success than they started, you know what I mean? Then Jeezy? Come on, that’s the homie, He make me feel like, I left my team at home but like I got another rider out here on the road with me.” (“Jenny Boom Boom TV”)
Last month, Jay-Z announced that a Mob Squad record, featuring himself, Trey and Jeezy, was in the works.
