Ja Rule says that creating Pain Is Love 2 was therapeutic. The album contains 13 tracks and will be released off his own label, Empire Records. Although the album has a lot of substance, he does have several tracks that are his favorites including “Superstar” which talks on the gift and the curse of being in the industry and “Black Vodka,” an ode to the beautiful dark-skinned sisters.

Ja couldn’t pass up the chance to talk about the impact that the loss of Heavy D will have on hip hop. Find out what he has to say about the new artists on the hip hop scene including Big Sean, Wale and J. Cole among others. He’s even plotting to get in the studio with Lauryn Hill cause “she doesn’t make music like she used to.” You think? Pain Is Love 2 will be released in 2012. Check out Part 2 of my exclusive interview with Ja Rule below.
