What’s going on in her life.

I’ve been sober for two years, and a lot of people can’t say that. I’m timid, shy and broken a little bit by some of the responses [online], but then again so much support from the people saying “No! She’s none of that.” Real friends stepping up … And just showing me who the real people were in my life. It helped me find myself and find out that there’s a real true artist inside of me–that no matter what obstacles may come, he’s not going to let you fall, and he’s not going to let you down.

I started ministering to myself and looking at my heart … Finding my voice … And it just made me stronger. If it doesn’t kill you, it will make you stronger. Like Drake says, “It’s far from over…” I listened to the music that people were making, and it kept inspiring me. I started making music, and I just stepped out on a limb. My mom died … So much has happened. I miss people in my life. I miss LL [Cool J]. Debbie Allen came back to the community … And for once so many miracles. I swear so many miracles!

On the state of her career and the youtube videos that surfaced:

I went on to do movies, and nobody talked about it, and that hurt me. I did a movie called ‘Rim Shop’ after Katrina had happened in New Orleans. We went down there, and that place looked a mess, seriously. We shot a film out there just to help those people, to bring revenue in and just show our support to their situation. Then, I did a gospel kind of Tyler Perry play called ‘Friends and Lovers’.

A few years back, Mario opened up to the world about his mother’s addiction to drug in his MTV Documentary, I Will Not Love You To Death. Since then, it has been his mission to mentor and support the children of drug addicted parents. Through his ‘Do Right’ Foundation, and REACH he has been able to do so.

On tomorrow, his Do Right Foundation, along with Baltimore City middle and high schools, he will kick-off The Do Right School-Based Initiative.

On January 25, 2012 the foundation will place its DO RIGHT SCHOOL BASED INITIATIVE in a middle/high school in Baltimore, Maryland. This cutting-edge substance abuse prevention program will make it easier for students to DO RIGHT!

In a classroom setting, student participants will be administered an evidence-based curriculum recommended by the American Medical Association, White House Office of Drug Policy and the U.S Department of Education. The program will promote healthy alternatives to risky behavior through activities designed to teach students the necessary skills to resist peer pressures to use drugs and alcohol and will help students to develop greater self-esteem and self-confidence.

Using SKYPE, Mario will video chat with students as well as make visits to the school to help motivate the students to complete the course.

Following singer Amy Winehouse’s death this past weekend, many are reflecting about the people in their lives suffering from an addiction.

You can help these people. Here are some tips:

1) Discuss your concerns privately with other friends and loved ones, and find two to six others willing to hold an intervention. Too many people can seem overwhelming for the person who’s suffering from drug abuse.

2) Hold a planning meeting. Planning an intervention can be emotionally difficult because you may worry that it won’t work, that your help may be rejected, or that you may alienate your loved one. If you want, you may contact a drug intervention counselor or specialist to assist. At the meeting, discuss what specific treatment you want to prepare for the drug addict if he or she will accept it, and how you can explain the harm that addiction is causing to the addict and those around him or her. It’s often best to appoint a leader of the group who will be the main spokesperson during the intervention, since too many people speaking at once can seem as if the group is arguing or bullying rather than conveying a clear, caring message.

3) Make arrangements for the drug treatment you want to offer, including contacting the staff and planning admissions and transportation if it’s a residency addiction program. Discuss and resolve issues about financial arrangements. If the drug addict agrees to treatment after the intervention, you want to be able to offer it immediately.

This isn’t the first time a photo has surfaced of Bobbi Kristina involved in destructive behavior.  Previously, a photo leaked of her with a can of the highly controversial alcoholic energy drink Four Loko.

Attorneys for Banton and the US Government finished their closing arguments on Thursday afternoon with Assistant U.S. Attorney James Preston telling the jury that Banton presented himself as a broker of drug deals to an informant.

The prosecution has built their case on a series of audio and videotapes of meetings and phone calls involving Banton.  In one videotaped meeting, Banton can be seen tasting cocaine in a warehouse, but he was not present at the drug deal.

The prosecution also acknowledges that Banton had no financial interest in the deal at all and did not stand to profit from it. Banton’s defense attorney, David Markus, has painted his client as a “big talker” who was just trying to impress the informant.

Banton faces charges of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute cocaine; attempted possession with the intent to distribute cocaine; possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense; and using the wires to facilitate a drug trafficking offense.  He could face life in prison if convicted of all charges.

Buju’s was previously tried on this case in 2010, but a mistrial was declared.

According to Eonline, El DeBarge is now in rehab. It’s no secret that the 80′s popster had trouble with drugs in the past, which led to serving two years in prison. The artist announced yesterday that he checked into rehab.

“I hate to disappoint my fans but it is necessary for me to take the time to work on me so that I may continue to share my music and my story with everyone,” the 49-year-old DeBarge said. “I thank everyone in advance for their prayers and well wishes and hope that you will respect my privacy during this time.”

Before entering a drug-treatment facility for his unspecified addiction, the hitmaker had been making the promotional rounds for his comeback album, Second Chance. He also scored two Grammy nominations—for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song.

“He is an alcoholic, he is a drug user,” Goldberg said referring to Sheen. “He knows he has a lot of people he’s responsible for.”

“Having been a drug addict, I feel I can say this. I was a functioning drug addict, I showed up for work because I knew a lot of people would be out of work and I wouldn’t get a check that I needed to buy my drugs.

“I ended up sitting on a bed for three or four days scared there was something under the bed.

“I wet the bed, I pooped the bed. I was so scared. I hit bottom. I did that a long time ago,” Goldberg admitted.

Whoopi now says that she’s as “straight as an arrow.”

Law enforcement sources in Henry County tell TMZ, cops are investigating possible prostitution.

Waka’s mom tells us, cops are also looking for evidence of gangs and drugs, though we have not been able to confirm this with law enforcement.

Our law enforcement sources say cops found marijuana and weapons.

According to neighbors, there are still four cop cars parked outside.

We’re told Waka (left) is not there — and his mom tells us, if he doesn’t show up soon … cops will issue an arrest warrant.

To get the help that he needed, Gucci Mane has reportledly checked into rehab for his cocaine addiction.

UrbanInformer.com has learned that Gucci Mane has reportedly checked into a rehab again, for an alleged cocaine addiction (first time was back in Aug of 2009).

A source from an alleged Narcotics Anonymous meeting revealed the information to Ozone Magazine that Gucci Mane and his entourage interrupted their meeting with noise outside the facility.

Appearantly, Gucci’s manager and lawyer were pleading with the rapper to get some help for his addiction or go back to jail.

Originally Gucci refused to go to treatment, but did turn himself into rehab for a 28-day program around 8 PM on October 14th.

That would make sense because around that time on Thursday, I got a call from one of the club owners were Gucci was supposed to perform that night, but was told that he didn’t get on the plane to Baltimore. I was told that Waka would replace his appearance.
