For months now, we have been hearing about Mary J Blige new album, My Life II: The Journey Continues. With songs that leaked ‘Feel Inside’ featuring Nicki Minaj and her remix to ‘Looking For Someone To Love Me’ getting mixed reviews, MJB was uncertain of her future in the music.

“We’ve been recording for a year now and I did not want to stop until I nailed it and got what I feel people wanted to hear from Mary J. Blige,” she told listeners tuned into Angie Martinez show last week on Hot 97.

It was the response from fans on her new single, 25/8, that help reassure Mary that she was still in the game, and hadn’t lost her touch with the music.

“It really moved me because sometimes you just don’t know what people want anymore and you just do what it is from your heart that you do and be optimistic. Turns out, when you do what you do from your heart, people love you.”

My Life II: The Journey Continues‘ drops this fall.

It’s sad that someone who has paved the way, and help set the standards for R&B music (The Queen of Hip Hop Soul) would even be worried about loosing her touch with music due to the way the industry and fans are now. GOOD MUSIC that is from the heart will NEVER die. MJB, as your title of the new album says, The Journey Continues, keep going! Keep doing you!
