“I hope somebody makes a movie about Obama’s life soon because I could play him… That’s the goal. I watch all the addresses. Any time I see him on TV, I don’t change the channel. I definitely pay attention and listen to the inflections of his voice. If you ask anyone who knows me, I’m pretty good at impressions. I’ve been reading scripts for awhile. I want to do something great. I want to do something for my culture: the younger people who are still in tune with everything going on. I’m actually writing with my friends right now”

Nicki Minaj and her boyfriend Safarree both splurged on matching Bentleys recently.  Nicki copped the pink one and Safarree has the red. Giuseppe Zanotti made waves with his popular over the top platform wedge heels and now they are back with a twist.  Kelly Rowland was recently spotted in a pair of Tribal Giuseppe Zanotti Curved Platform shoes while posing in a photo shoot as a dog whisperer.  Nicole Scherzinger was also spotted in the heelless shoe while visiting BB1 Studios in London.  According to Giuseppe, he observed and was inspired by an African woman from the 70′s and his new line will contain a lot of African details as well as colors and shapes from the 70s

While on the red carpet of a UK award show Kelly Rowland was asked about Beyonce’s  pregnancy and decided to spill the beans on the sex of the baby and more:

“I’m so happy for my sister and her husband. They’re so happy in this moment right now, as they should be. They’ve made a little bundle of love, I’m so excited for them.

“I have no idea what I’m going to buy Beyonce at the baby shower because Jay is going to buy that little girl every single thing possible. She won’t be spoiled but she will be very well looked-after.

“I’ll be on hand for babysitting duties and I’m actually very good with messy diapers!”

Hip Hop In Pink made its mark in Baltimore last night as all of  the city’s best female MCs, DJ’s, Media personalities, and power players joined together for one epic cause; Breast Cancer. Hip Hop In Pink, founded by Radio One’s own Civ Jones,  is a social benefit with live music performances celebrating women in Hip Hop standing to “kick Breast Cancer’s a**”!  With an all female showcase which included, Carmen Cameron, Si-Notes, Ashley Moore, Tiara LaNiece, TT the Artist, Mzery Loves Company and exclusive all female Hip Hop cypher. Also 92Q’s Angel Baby of Rap Attack was caught spinning the latest and greatest music of the Hip-Hop culture. MERDJ.com in conjunction with E Media’s Women of Power Networking hosted this  tremendous effort. Radio One’s own Civ Jones (Magic 95.9), Singleton Newman (1010 WOLB), and of course Angel Baby (92Q Jams) teamed up to make this event happen and celebrate those who have expirienced, been effected by, or survived the devestating disease.

Many power players came out to support the event including, Konan of  92Q, WOLB Permiss, Mark Henry, Queen By All Means, WPGC’s Poet, comedian Larry Lancaster, The Legendary DDM,  NRG Theory Swen Brock and many more.

Proceeds from the event will go to Blink Pink, a non-profit organization who’s mission is to celebrate those who have survived this devestating disease, educate through health and wellness, support and provide resources for Women who have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

Here is the latest with public trasportation according to WBFF FOX45:

BALTIMORE (AP) — The Maryland Transit Administration says bus,

subway and the Inter County Connector Bus service has resumed.

Light rail service is expected to resume at 11 a.m. Sunday.

But officials warn there will likely be diversions and delays

because of downed trees and power lines.

A bus bridge is in place from Rogers Station to Owings Mills  because of trees on tracks.

The MTA’s mobility service will only be doing medical runs.

It’s well-known that the way you perform on a test does not necessarily reflect your intelligence or aptitude. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like the mainstream educational system is likely to change their testing habit any time soon. So even though you may not agree with the philosophy of test taking, you’ll still need to do well on them if you want high grades. Some people are simply poor test-takers. If you’re one of those people, never fear; there are strategies you can use to maximize your test-taking potential.

Mimic familiar surroundings.
It may seem odd, but similarity helps the brain recall items that it otherwise would have more difficulty recalling. What this means is that you should try to make your test feel as much as possible like a class or study session. If you wore nice clothes to class every day, don’t wear pajamas to your test. If you always sit in the same seat, try to put yourself there during your testing hour. It seems strange, but it works.

Make sure you’re in top condition.
We think of the mental and physical aspects of ourselves as different things. Sometimes we forget that the brain is a physical part of our bodies. If it doesn’t have the things it needs, it won’t be able to function optimally. Get a good night’s sleep the night before your test, and be sure to eat a nutritious breakfast that will keep your synapses firing.

Give yourself lots of time.
Waking up ten minutes before class may have worked for you during the semester, but on testing day give yourself a little bit of extra time. If you feel rushed and stressed before your test, your brain won’t be in the best state to concentrate on the test. Instead it will still be frazzled. Get up forty-five minutes early on test day. Take a nice shower, eat a good breakfast, and leave with enough time to run through your flashcards or notes once or twice before your test starts.

Be prepared!
It’s obvious, but it needs to be said. Don’t start preparing for a test three days beforehand (or worse, the night beforehand). That’s an easy recipe for test stress. Study little by little throughout the semester, and when testing day finally rolls around you’ll have nothing to worry about. Being prepared also means double checking the morning of the test to make sure you have all the materials you may need. Check your syllabus to make sure all homework assignments are in, and run through your email inbox to make sure you didn’t miss a note from your professor giving you info on what’s expected of you.

Nobody likes taking tests. Hopefully in the future the education system will come up with a more effective way of finding out how much a student has learned. But until then, follow these tips to make sure you take the best test possible.

The soul singer Solange Knowles is celebrating her 25th birthday today. She has been known as Beyonce Knowles younger sister, but she has lanched a career of her own. In the earlier 2000′s she released a number of albums. Her family has been making a name for themselves over the years, from her sister to her mother they all are stars to the public.

Born May 27, 1971, Left Eye appeared to have been a star from day one. Rapping, singing, dancing, and writing her way to the top, she and the members of TLC (T-Boz and Chilli) are what we now know as music icons, trendsetters and the real reason why R&B music is where it is today. The trio blessed us with the familiar hits “What About Your Friends,” “Creep,” “Waterfalls,” and “No Scrubs” since their debut back in 1991.

Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes departed from this world far too soon and devastated many on April 25, 2002 after fatal car accident in Honduras took her life. The world still hasn’t quite gotten over the tragic end to the superstar’s life and career, but we know that she’s somewhere in heaven looking down on each of us and reminding us to live each day as if it is our last.

Today we salute the life, legacy, the music and the memory of the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. We miss you, we love you and we will never forget you! TLC lives on forever!
