As if Azealia Banks didn’t have enough drama in her life this year following her altercation with Russell Crowe, the rapper is still dealing with a mess from last year.
The controversial Harlemite appeared before a judge in New York on Tuesday and left with a misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct charge. Banks is accused of spitting on and biting a bouncer’s breast in December 2015 after being kicked out of Manhattan club Up & Down because staff didn’t recognize her.
According to the Daily Mail, Azealia missed previous court appearances due to health reasons, so the judge warned that if she didn’t appear at the next one, she would end up behind bars. Fortunately for the star, she dropped plans to press charges against Russell Crowe after she accused him of assault. If she had gone forward with the charges, she’d just be adding more drama to an already complicated year.

Hopefully, 2017 will be brighter for Banks – with more music and less Twitter beef.
